Susan Taber, MEd, BCET, is an accomplished learning specialist and consultant. With 30 years’ experience in the field of education, she holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA and is the only Board Certified Educational Therapist in the Greater New England area. Susan started Learning Strategies Unlimited as a way to offer new perspectives on learning to students, parents, adult learners and workers, as well as to reach out to teachers and human service professionals. Her overall mission is to help individuals "learn how to learn for life".
Susan’s broad range of expertise includes:
- Individualizing strategy instruction to accommodate differences in learning styles
- Creating and facilitating programs for writing strategies
- Writing a biannual column for the Journal of Educational Therapy
- Developing strategies for award-winning educational software
- Contributing to books on innovative classroom teaching techniques
- Consulting to special education and classroom teachers at all levels
- Presenting at national and local conferences, schools, parent groups, & community service organizations
